Muslim women oppose Triple Talaq Bill, seek instant rollback

Charminar: The women’s wing members of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, from the old city deplored the Triple Talaq Bill by Modi-led government and demands an immediate rollback of it.

According to them, it will play only negative role and adversely impact Muslims families. Muslim women will not get anything from this instead, they will be left abandoned.

organizer of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (women’s wing), Asma Zohra said, “Despite the ‘Triple Talaq Bill’ widely opposed by the Muslim community across the country, it was presented twice in Rajya Sabha.”

Claiming the bill is against the criminal jurisprudence and it should be fair to both men and women, the chief organizer asked, why should a Muslim be needlessly penalized for divorce?
