Muslims celebrated Id-ul-Zuha, the festival of prayers and sacrifices, on Monday. People greeted each other and offered prayers at masjids and idgahs throughout the city. The Macca Masjid witnessed a sizeable gathering for Id-ul-Zuha prayers at 9.30 am, led by Imam Lateef Ahmad.
The congregation extended to Charminar, with around 6,000 participants joining in the prayers. At the Idgah Mir Alam tank, Hafeez Rizwan Qureshi, khateeb of Macca Masjid, led the
prayers, marking the largest gathering in the city.
All the mosques in Hyderabad were filled with the faithful, who preferred offering prayers at idgahs, which are open-air and located on the outskirts of the city.
The spirit of Id-ul-Zuha was evident across Hyderabad as families gathered to pray, perform sacrifices, and celebrate together, reinforcing the sense of community and faith.
