Nagarkurnool: Talasani Akhilesh Reddy, District Social Welfare Officer, has been invited by the United Nations to participate in the UN International Convention to be held in Beijing from December 2 till 6. He is the only delegate selected for the conference from Telangana and is one among the three delegates invited by the UN.
Akhilesh was posted as the Special Officer for the implementation of 30-day action plan in Kollapur mandal, where he did a case study on the plan’s implementation in Somasila village.
He has submitted his case study to the United Nations. Impressed by it, the UN has invited him to present the plan’s implementation at a university
based in Beijing during their Switch-Asia Leadership Academy’s seminar. The cost of his travel and accommodation would be borne by the UN.
Akhilesh Reddy, a native of Nagarkurnool district, is a Group-I cadre officer of 2017 batch and has been working as the Social Welfare and tribal Welfare Officer of the district since then.
District collector E Sreedhar and other district officials have congratulated him for being invited by the UN. Akhilesh also thanked the District Collector for assigning him as the special officer for the 30-day plan’s implementation in Kollapur mandal and thanked the people of the district for being very cooperative towards his efforts.
