Hyderabad: In order to facilitate growth in Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences space and to provide jobs in these emerging technologies, the government of Telangana has partnered with industry body Nasscom to set up a Centre of Excellence for Data Sciences and Artificial Intelligence (CoE – DS and AI).
This announcement was made on the sidelines of the World Congress IT and Nasscom India Leadership Forum that is being held in Hyderabad.
The CoE that is
intended to come up in a month’s time in the campus of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad will incur a joint investment of Rs 40 crore. Later on, the centre will be shifted to the IT Park that is set to come up Budwel that will be operational next year.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao by Telangana IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Nasscom President R Chandrashekhar.
