In Telangana, a 60
member team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has reached
Hyderabad to carry out rescue and relief operations in the rain-ravaged areas
of the capital city. The army officials monitored the situation at the
rain-affected areas on the outskirts of Hyderabad and also visited the Central
Control Room in Hyderabad Friday night to assess the situation.

request from the state government, the Army expressed its preparedness to carry
rescue and relief operations till normalcy restored in Hyderabad. The state
Government also appointed a three member committee to liaison with the Army.
Meanwhile, the state government asked people of Hyderabad to remain calm as
there is no need for panic and asked them not to believe rumours.
