The Election Commission has made necessary arrangements for the peaceful conduction of Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Teacher’s constituency elections to be conducted in the state on Thursday.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwarlal said that 23,789 voters would exercise their franchise to elect one MLC from among 12 candidates who are in the fray.As many as 126 polling stations have been set up in eight districts (three old districts) where polling would be held from 8 AM to 6 PM on Thursday. The registered voters can carry their voter ID card, driving license, Passport, Pan Card, Aadhaar card etc.
A control room has been set up in all three districts while flying squads are also being
stationed to deal with any emergency situation. Elaborate security arrangements have been made at all polling stations. Transmission of bulk SMS of any political nature has been prohibited and wine shops would be shut down in the eight districts of the state.
The CEO said that live webcasting and recording of the entire poll process would be done at all the polling stations. About 15 companies of CRPF have been requested from the Centre.
Arrangements have been made at the polling stations for safe drinking water, toilets, ramps and shamiyana’s have been erected wherever required along with uninterrupted power supply to facilitate the voters to exercise their franchise.
