Cabinet Sub Committee on cashless transactions headed by IT Minister KT Rama Rao has said that utmost importance is being given to promote digital payment literacy and ensure security of user data.
At a review meeting with committee members and stakeholders on Tuesday, the Minister discussed the modalities to ensure that transition from cash payments to digital payments is smooth.People should be able to transact on all platforms with equal ease, he said. Officials informed that the proposed TS Wallet would have inbuilt security measure for
hassle-free digital payment to the users.
KTR said the State government sought the Union government to waive all transaction charges on the users of TS-Wallet.He urged the banks to supply required POS (Point of Sale) machines to encourage cashless transactions in the trading community.
The committee members are Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Mohmood Ali, Finance Minister E Rajendar, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Panchyat Raj Minister K Krishna Rao and Transport Minister P Mahendar Reddy.
