As many as 528 passengers arrived at the Secunderabad Railway Station on Saturday in the New Delhi–Secunderabad AC superfast special train, the first weekly special train service between New Delhi and Secunderabad announced by the Railway Ministry.
Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure well-coordinated movement of passengers in the wake of COVID-19. A thorough check was done to ensure that all passengers were wearing face masks or face covers. Thermal screening was done to all passengers alighting from the special train at the station. The passengers, who were found
asymptomatic, were advised to undergo home quarantine.
The entire station was cleaned and disinfected to ensure healthy premises for the safety of the passengers. Sanitisers were made available for the benefit of the passengers and proper markings were done on the platform areas for guiding the passengers to practice physical distancing.
SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya directed the Secunderabad Division to make elaborate arrangements and advised them to strictly follow the procedures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
