Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof. M Kodandaram yesterday his political party was christened as ‘Telangana Jana Samithi’ (TJS).

Prof. M Kodandaram announced this yesterday at JAC office here on Monday as the Central Election Commission accorded recognition to his party recently. Stating that he would release party flag on April 4, Prof. Kodandaram said TJS formation meeting will be held on April 29 in the State capital. He called upon the people to attend the meeting in large numbers and make it a big success. Before the meeting, they would hold conferences, meetings and cultural programs across the State from April 5, he explained.

Kodandaram said Telangana movement was held in deference to the aspirations of the people bemoaned there was no respect to the aspirations of the people after the formation of the separate



State. There was also no respect to democratic values in the new State, he said and alleged the Chief Minister was conducting review meetings without inviting the ministers concerned. He also alleged that K Chandrasekhar Rao was the only Chief Minister, who stayed away from the Secretariat.

Claiming that several leaders were inclined to join his party, Kodandaram said he has already appointed preparation Committees for the public meeting to be held on April 29. He also said they took permission from the police for holding the meeting either at Secunderabad Parade Grounds, LB Stadium or NTR Stadium or Saroornagar Stadium. He said TJS flag colors will be made of white, blue and green to attract the farmers and workers. Stating that he floated TJS to fulfill the aspirations of farmers and unemployed youth, Kodandaram said he has enmity with none.
