The Telangana government has decided to issue draft orders early to the employees, who are being allotted to the new districts. The orders are likely to be issued on October 1 and the officials would be asked to be geared up to start functioning from October 11.

All the departments have been asked to prepare the lists of employees working in the existing districts and the staff to be allotted to the new districts before the end of September.

The officials, deployed to the new districts, would be asked to stay at their place of posting at least a week before the districts come into existence and prepare detailed report on the requirement of basic infrastructure for the administration and other logistical support, including vehicles, computers and stationery.

Initially, the officials working in the important and emergency services - Medical and Health, Education,

Agriculture, Rural Development, Civil Supplies, BC, SC, ST and Minority welfare, Women Development and Child Welfare and Energy departments - would be posted in the new districts.

The officials of other departments like Irrigation, Municipal Administration, and Housing, Roads and Buildings and Transport would join duties in two weeks after the formation of the districts. As the State was facing huge shortage of  IAS and IPS officials, the government is planning to deploy Group one or other senior most officials in Revenue and Police departments as the head of the administration and police wings in new districts.

One official at the level of head of their respective departments, two officials from revenue division level and 5 to 10 members of the assisting staff based on the availability of members would start functioning in the headquarters of the new districts.
