HMWS&SB managing director M Dana Kishore said nine new reservoirs -LB Nagar (Autonagar), Kapra (Kai lasgiri and Snehapuri), Kukatpally (HUDA Park & KPHB phase-IV), Serilingampallly (HUDA-Miyapur, Gopanpally and HCU-Nalagandla) and Quthubullapur (Shapurnagar) -were ready for inauguration. “Once these reservoirs are commissioned, nearly 25,000 new water connections will be provided in the GHMC peripheral circles.The existing water connections will
benefit too. Already, trial run has been completed and they are ready for commissioning,“ he added.
Municipal administration & urban development (MA&UD) minister K T Rama Rao is expected to inaugurate them next week. The remaining will be completed by the end of April. “We can draw water from Nagarjunasagar up to 498 feet (current level is 505 feet),“ said Dana Kishore while replying to a series of queries.
