It is the second year in a row the city will not see congregational Id-ul-Fitr prayers at Idgahs to mark the end of Ramzan in Telangana. The Telangana State Wakf Board has refrained from making arrangements for congregational prayers in major idgahs in the city. 

Home Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali said that in the light of directives of the High Court on combating the spread of Covid-19 and the restrictions on gathering imposed by the Chief Secretary, it was decided not to



arrange mass prayers at Idgahs. He appealed to the faithful to perform prayers at nearby masjids. 

Wakf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem said there will be on Id prayers in idgahs. He said following guidelines issued by the government, Wakf Board had not made arrangements in Idgah Mir Alam, Idgah Madannapet. He appealed to the public to maintain physical distance and other safety precautions on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
