Hyderabad Traffic Joint Commissioner of Police AV Ranganath on Friday said that though the mega discount offer to clear pending traffic challans was receiving good response, there was no thought to extend it further after March 31.
At a meeting here, issues including filing chargesheet on traffic violation cases in time apart from chargesheet against top violators
(above 50 violations), were discussed, with officials being asked to ensure mentioning challan history of violators while filing chargesheets, to secure conviction.
Officials were also instructed on enforcement on removal of stickers on vehicles, clearing abandoned vehicles on roads, irregular number plates and silencers.
