No need to panic over GST, Etela tells traders

Finance minister Etela Rajender on Thursday called on traders to not panic over introduction of GST. Addressing a press meet, he said there was no need to worry over GST implementation and appealed traders to not hike prices of various commodities with the GST excuse.

“If there are any problems or challenges, please inform the government that will attend to them promptly . The commercial taxes department



is ready to provide answers to questions related to GST,“ he said. He asked people to call the toll free number of 18004253787 to register their complaints if any .

The government, he reiterated, had brought to the notice of the Centre that it needs redress on 35 goods or services. “We will not compromise when it comes to the interests of Telangana and its people,“ he said.
