No scientist with the DRDO laboratories will be allowed to carry smartphones inside the labs from January 1. DRDO took the step following the arrest of a BrahMos scientist for passing on information to the ISI. The DRDO has also barried personnel from carrying CDs and pen drives an any media that can help transfer information.
DRDO has cautioned its scientists not to reveal their identity or designation on any social media platform, even on matrimonial sites or wedding
cards.
