The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Enforcement Directorate on Thursday served notices to the owners of 127 shops which have been rebuilt on footpaths after being demolished recently, along with 30 properties, during a special drive.
The Enforcement and Vigilance wings had removed 5,388 properties during the four-day
anti-encroachment drive. The serving of notices comes in the wake of the corporation’s decision to impose fine of Rs 10,000 besides stringent action, if the pulled down shops were re-constructed. Enforcement Director Vishwajeet told that GHMC would seize the re-built shops after serving notices to the owners.
