The proposal to construct two multipurpose function halls in the Old City has been approved by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Standing Committee on Wednesday. While the facility proposed in Barkas will be built with an estimated cost of Rs 495 lakh, another hall in Kanchanbagh will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 494
lakh.
A total of 10 proposals were approved by the committee, including those related to the construction of function halls. The proposal that was approved includes restoration of Adikmet Road Over Bridge, road widening at Government Fever Hospital in Nallakunta and other civic works. The committee comprises 15 corporators and is chaired by the Mayor in the presence of GHMC officials.
