Once KCR releases the BRS manifesto, it will block the minds of the Opposition parties: Harish Rao

The Congress was not a contender in the state elections and the so-called poll surveys predicting that it will win were nothing more than propaganda, BRS senior leader and minister T. Harish Rao said on Tuesday. The Congress was in dire straits and not even close to announcing half of its candidates while the BRS had declared almost all of its candidates early, he pointed out.

It is a party known for its money bags, creating communal strife and imposing curfews, and it is hoping that it can use these tactics in the elections, he said in Husnabad in Siddipet district after inspecting arrangements being made there for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s first poll campaign meeting on October 15.

Harish Rao said it was from Husnabad that Chandrashekar Rao had launched the BRS’ election campaign in 2018, which



the party had won in a handsome manner.

"Once KCR releases the BRS manifesto, it will block the minds of the Opposition parties. KCR kept the promises made during the 2014 and 2018 election campaigns and also implemented programmes and schemes that were not in our manifesto."

"He is the only leader who turns promises into action. It was Congress which betrayed BRS in 2004 after including Telangana statehood in the common minimum programme but did nothing resulting in many in the state taking their lives demanding formation of the new state."

Harish Rao called on people to attend the Chief Minister’s public meeting in Husnabad on October 15 in large numbers, and make the meeting a success and continue supporting the BRS party.
