One journalist dead, other critical after speeding car hits duo in Hayathnagar

One woman was killed after a speeding car rammed into her in Telangana and another pedestrian has been admitted to hospital after grave injuries. The two female journalists were hit by a speeding car at Hayathnagar at around 5:15 am on November 18.

One woman died on the spot while the other is said to be critical and undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. They were on the way to their office when the speeding vehicle lost control and hit the duo.

Inspector Venkateshwarlu, "On 18 November at around 5:15 am, a car rammed into two women journalists, while they were crossing the road at Bhagyalatha Kaman towards their office. One woman died on the spot, while another woman was severely injured and shifted to Kamineni Hospital and undergoing treatment. Primary investigation revealed that the rash and negligent driving of the Indica car driver led to the incident."

A case has been registered and a detailed probe into the case at hand is underway, as per the police.
