Online building permits from June 2

To ensure transparency, Telangana Government has decided to accord all permissions for building constructions online from June 2. The software for this will be tested from first week of May, according to chief city planner S Devender Reddy said. 

Under this system it may take about 30 days for granting permission for building constructions and 15 days for occupancy certificates, according to experts in real



estate. However, as far as building up to five floors is concerned, the permission could be given in one day’s time. 

Even the site visit can be made through the software that the authorities would be using. To determine whether buffer zone rules are to be followed or not also can be decided through aerial photography. 

This technology has been devised by a Hyderabad-based company, he said.
