Campaigning for the TRS in Alair assembly constituency on Sunday, IT minister K T Rama Rao remarked that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu had completely taken over the campaign responsibility for Congress in the forthcoming elections.
“Chandrababu Naidu is the storywriter, scriptwriter and director. In fact, Congress leaders themselves are requesting Naidu to recommend their names for the party ticket with Congress president Rahul Gandhi,” he said.
K T Rama Rao pointed out that AP chief minister Naidu had written 30 letters to the Centre opposing irrigation projects in Telangana. “It is the same Naidu who is funding the elections for the Congress,” he said.
Asking the electorate to support the sitting TRS legislator Gongidi Sunitha’s candidature again, he said the needs of the
constituency would be met only if the TRS were to be elected and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao getting another term.
KTR announced that the Metro rail from Uppal would be extended up to Raigir in the Warangal route. He said the Hyderabad to Warangal route would be developed as an industrial corridor.
“Rahul Gandhi may give seats to his partymen and Chandrababu Naidu may give notes to spend. But only you have the votes and to elect the right government,” he said urging that the TRS should be elected. KTR took a dig at the Telangana Jana Samithi saying: “I understand that the party is being given matchbox as election symbol. That’s perhaps because Kodandaram is a spoke in the wheel,” “Annitla pullalu peduthuntadu,” he said conveying it in Telugu.
