Osman Sagar(Gandipet) under Mission Kakatiya: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today directed officials to bring under Mission Kakatiya purview the lake of Osman Sagar (Gandipet) for speedy development. With this Gandipet or Osman Sagar will get a facelift as the government taken a key decision to develop it under the flagship program of Mission Kakatiya.

At a high level review meeting at Secretariat here, he asked the officials to take up works in seven weeks. The minister appointed a



four men committee to look into the works including irrigation, water works, revenue and police departments. Protection, maintenance and beautification works of Osman Sagar by erecting a fencing and take up beautification works in 10 km range he said. Harish also asked the committee to finalize a report in week days for beautification of the lake.The minister also asked appealed to donors to come forward with donations to the account of Mission Kakatiya.
