In Telangana, polling will be held in the fourth phase on 13th May in all 17 seats. Political parties have already commenced poll campaign.
The women electors along with a considerable number of young and first time voters will determine the fate of candidates in the Lok Sabha election this time in Telangana. Telangana is one among the few states where women voters outnumber their male counterparts. Over 1 crore 65 lakh women electors are among the total 3 crore 30 lakh electors in the state.
However, male electors out-number their women counterparts among the new and first time voters as 4 lakh 82 thousand male in the age group of 18-19 years registered as voters while only 3 lakh 84 thousand girls registered their names as
electors.
A total 19 thousand 356 polling station locations have been set up in all 17 Constituencies that are going to polls in the fourth phase on May 13th. These Constituencies include 3 reserved for SCs and 2 reserved for the STs. If you look at the constituencies, Malkajgiri Constituency with over 31 lakh electors is the largest constituency by the sie of electorate and with 14 lakh 23 thousand, Mahabubnagar is the smallest one.
All major political parties have started their campaigning even before announcement election schedule while BRS, BJP and Congress are fielding their best foot forward as all three parties consider this election very crucial for their political future.
