Over 10,000 girls to walk on Feb 4

Over 10,000 students, will participate in a 2km walk which will be held in the city on February 4 to promote the education of girls.The walk, organized by the Children Sports Foundation in association with Balala Hakula Sangham, will begin at Lal Darwaza and will end at Charminar.

“We are organizing the walk to increase awareness



on problems a girl child is faces.

“We aim to promote education for girls, eradication of child marriages among other issues. Over 10,000 students are expected to participate in the event along with the women from all walks of life,” said Achyuta Rao, a city-based childright activist.
