Finance Minister Eatala Rajender has said that the State government was yet to finalise guidelines for overseas scholarships for students who want to pursue studies abroad.
Interacting with a group of OBC students of Hyderabad Central University who called on him here on Friday, the Minister said that the scholarship programme would help them pursue higher education in foreign countries. 
The students appealed to



the Minister to set up a separate institution on the standards of FICCI and DICCI for their welfare.The Minister exhorted the BC students to make use of the scheme and benefit through higher education abroad.
Every year, the government plans to give scholarship to about 300 students and each student would get Rs 20 lakh, he said. The students have to attend a test in August for availing the scheme, Rajender said.
