Charminar is set to undergo a transformation with the introduction of a visitor's plaza and essential amenities, aiming to preserve Hyderabad's cultural identity while enhancing public spaces. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted about the initiative emphasising the significance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for families to enjoy.

The project intends to establish public toilets adjacent to the Charminar due to the substantial influx of visitors daily. The visitor plaza will encompass a versatile restroom, public plaza, and a tourist information cell. The objective is to offer comprehensive facilities that cater to tourists' basic

requirements, including destination information, navigation maps, drinking water, and public restrooms.

A brochure shared by Owaisi highlights how the plaza toilet can function as a public space within Charminar's historic vicinity. Positioned directly opposite Charminar, the building accommodates fundamental support services for visitors.

The architectural design fosters a serene environment, enabling moments of reflection with a view of Charminar. The project ingeniously combines the stepped plaza and visitor's centre, with the latter sunken and the roof fashioned as a visitor's plaza facing Charminar.
