'Owner-cum-Driver' Scheme draw will be held today

Hyderabad: Drawing of lots for ‘Owner-cum-driver’ scheme, under which Minority Finance Corporation provides auto rickshaws to poor minority families of city and Rangareddy, will be held on December 8. Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will select 1000 eligible persons through drawing of lots at 3 pm at Hajj House. 

Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation B Shafiullah told that 2500 applications were submitted under the



scheme. The applications were scrutinised by TRA and transport. He told that it has been decided to select beneficiaries through drawing of lots.  50 percent of the amount will be issued by Finance Corporation as subsidy while 50 percent of the amount will be released by bank as loan.

Director General Anti Corruption Bureau A K Khan, Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel and public representatives will attend the programme.
