Mahabubabad: In a tragic incident, two minor girls have been orphaned as their parents were electrocuted while drying wet clothes at their house. The incident took place at Singaram village of Bayyaram Mandal in the district on Friday. 

A Tirupathamma (32), mother of the children, suffered an electric shock while she was spreading washed clothes on a clothes line, made up of GI wire, which came in contact with a live wire at their house in the SC Colony of the village on Friday night. On noticing this, her husband Anaparthy Upender (32), who was



present there, rushed to her and tried to pull her away with bare hands, resulting in electrocution of both of them.

The couple died while being shifted to a hospital on the same day night. By this incident, the two children of the couple Shyamala (8) and Bindhu (6) were orphaned. The funeral of the couple perfomed at the village on Saturday as the children lit the pyre of their parents. The couple used to lead the family by working as daily wage earners. The relatives of the deceased urged the government to help the orphaned children in all possible ways.
