Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Monday said passes for emergencies and essential services would be issued online and there was no need for citizens to go to the Police Commissioner’s Office or the Special Branch cell.
“We have launched a portal for e-passes on behalf of the Hyderabad City Police in the IT Cell to get passes. Do not come to the Commissioner’s Office for passes. Not only colour but also black and white
passes are allowed,” the Commissioner said, adding that if the passes were misused, the vehicles would be immediately seized.
The City Police has so far booked 49,853 violation cases and seized 69,288 vehicles, he said, adding that more than 12,000 police officers were on lockdown duty and Personal Protective Equipment kits were handed over to those performing duties in sensitive areas.
