Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan met Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu at the latter's residence in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The two discussed the latest political developments and the formalisation of the alliance between the two parties. The two parties decided to go together in the 2024 general elections.
Pawan Kalyan had met Chandrababu Naidu earlier and this was his second meeting with the TD chief in recent times.
Though the JS was aligned with the BJP in the Telangana assembly elections, Pawan Kalyan is firm on being with the TD in Andhra Pradesh. He hoped the TD and Jana Sena alliance would defeat the ruling YSR Congress.
Sources said the TD and
JS want to have a common manifesto. They have come up with 11 points in the common manifesto, of which six were proposed by TD and five by the Jana Sena. The two parties are likely to increase the promises to the voters in the coming days.
Reliable sources said the top leaders of the two parties have discussed the seat adjustments in the AP assembly elections -- either with BJP’s inclusion in the alliance and or without the saffron party in the alliance.
"There is only three months’ time left for the start of the assembly poll process. Pawan and Naidu will formulate a poll alliance as early as possible to start the election campaign," they said.
