Hyderabad High Court has directed the tenants of Makkah Madina Alauddin Waqf to pay their rents to Waqf Board. The Court told Waqf Board to issue notices to all tenants within 15 days. Association of tenants of Makkah Madina Alauddin Waqf had filed a petition in the court in which they stated that they were paying rents to the Trust while the Waqf Board is demanding to pay the rent to it.
The
hearing was held before Justice Ram Lingeshwar Rao in which Standing Council of Waqf Board M A Mujeeb claimed that the shops are Waqf properties hence tenants should be instructed to pay the rent to Waqf Board.According to Standing Council Waqf Board, the court asked Waqf Board to issue notices within 15 days to deposit the rent along with arrears with Waqf Board.
