The Hyderabad City Traffic Police, in an effort to make traffic challan payments a much easier affair, have introduced a new cashless enforcement method from Wednesday. Commuters from now on can make e-Challan payments through Paytm.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-II) AV Ranganath, the public can pay challans whenever they want from their smartphones using Paytm and also through the other payment gateways that
are already in use. Information on pending challans can be checked online by visiting the official website www.htp.gov.in or www.echallan.org, he said.
“A separate mobile and web application in collaboration with Paytm is being developed and will be launched soon for payments via Paytm,” he said adding that fines paid through this mode would be updated on the server without any delay.
