AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu here on Sundayreiterated that the people in the State have immense confidence in his government.

In a teleconference this morning, the Chief Minister expressed anguish over the Opposition party trying to poison the minds of the people. Such acts, he said, will lead to those parties losing credibility and confidence among the wise public. Awareness about the welfare and development programs being implemented by the TDP government should reach the last mile and the onus is on the people’s representatives and the officials to propagate the achievements of the government in the last two years, the Chief Minister added.



black;">On the occasion of World Environment Day on Sunday, the Chief Minister exhorted the people to take up tree plantation on a war-footing. He said the focus should be on nurturing trees not just planting them. He said Andhra Pradesh should be in the forefront in safeguarding environment. He also urged the people to take up tree plantation on special occasions like birthdays, wedding days and on other occasions. 
The Chief Minister stressed the need for effective and strong leadership in every field for delivering good governance and to increase happiness index of the people. 

“Only through hard work and commitment, Andhra Pradesh will become a role model State for the country”, he said. He appealed to every member of the society to come forward for the development and uplift of the poor and downtrodden sections. He also appealed to all sections of people in the State to take part in the “Maha Sankalpam” onJune 8 and renew their commitment towards building the new State of Andhra Pradesh.
