In view of Milad-un-Nabi, the business of flags, buntings, balloons, caps and lights has picked up momentum. Devotees turned out in droves to purchase decorative items.

Huge crowds were seen outside shops located in Charminar, Chatta Bazaar, Hussaini Alam, Engine Bowli, Moghalpura, Mustiadpura, Karwan, Jihrrah, Asifnagar and other areas. The newly imposed



GST failed to dampen the spirit of people.

Though this year, plastic buntings are in great demand, paper buntings’ sales drastically came down. A pack of buntings is available at the prices of Rs 1,000 in the market. But, 1 kg buntings pack was around Rs 270 last year. Now, it is being sold at Rs 320 in the Bazaar.’’
