Karimnagar: "Like Virat Kohli, the BRS will also score a century in Assembly polls" beamed minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday, confidently expressing that his party would win 100 Assembly seats in the upcoming elections, while inaugurating the BRS Tech Cell wing at Telangana Bhavan in Rajanna Sircilla.
Rama Rao said that under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Telangana state was flourishing "with greenery everywhere, water for irrigation and drinking needs, sufficient power supply and enormous growth of the crops along with the implementation of various welfare schemes for all sections of people."
"In his nine and a half years of rule, CM KCR never tried to create disputes among people in the name of caste, community or religion. KCR ruled the state with development as his caste and public welfare as his religion. It is the responsibility of the people to elect such a leader as CM for one more time," he said.
He dismissed claims and promises of Opposition parties, urging people to not be fooled.
"Several Opposition parties are trying to defeat the BRS in the Assembly elections. If people give
power to Congress believing in its mesmerising words, then their future will be driven into darkness once again. There is no need to think about other leaders and other parties except the BRS and CM KCR, who worked hard for the betterment of the people of Telangana," Rama Rao said.
The BRS working president also urged the Sircilla electorate to keep faith in him.
"Believing the people of Sircilla, I am going around the state and participating in the election campaign for the victory of the BRS. But Sircilla people should not get confused before casting their vote and cause me problems," he said.
He alleged that Opposition parties were fielding ‘parachute leaders’ to contest against the BRS in the Sircilla constituency. "They should care about CM KCR, who is like a Rs 100 note in the pocket, but not about the leaders, who are like coins that make a lot of noise," he said.
Reiterating his appeal for the voters to think wisely, he said: "People should not hand over the Telangana state, which was achieved after a lot of struggles, to the BJP or Congress."
