Telangana State Petroleum Tank Trucks Owners Association has called off strike on Wednesday as the state government has agreed to waive 14.5 percent VAT on transport.

supply to a halt in the city and elsewhere in the state. 
Association President K. Rajashekhar Reddy said that their main demand was immediate withdrawal of the 14.5 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed on transportation charges. Commercial Taxes department officials held talks with Oil Marketing Company officials yesterday in vain. Same day evening, the officials met with truck/tanker owners to convince them to call off the strike.
