Petrol and diesel price graphs in the city took an upward curve again on Wednesday, with the price of petrol going up by 16 paise per litre and of diesel, by 21 paise per litre.
The price of petrol reached an all-time high of Rs 79.45 a litre while that of diesel rose to Rs 72.27 litre. The prices of both petrol and diesel have been on a rise over the last three days.
The price of petrol went up from Rs 79.13 a litre on May 14 to Rs 79.45 a litre on May 16 while that of diesel, went up from Rs 71.80 on May 14 to Rs 72. 27 on May 16.

Telangana Petroleum Dealers Association, during the last three days, fuel prices were increased by 32 paise on petrol and 72 paise on diesel.
G Vinay Kumar, General Secretary of Telangana Petroleum Dealers Association said petrol and diesel prices would keep increasing by 20-30 paise every day until both the Centre and State reduce the taxes. Within two days, petrol would cross Rs 80 a litre and diesel would reach Rs 74 a litre, Kumar said. The petrol and diesel prices in city had remained stable for 20 days till May 14.
