Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy has urged people to plant saplings in large numbers to protect the environment and maintain ecological balance in the society. Growing large number of trees would reduce the pollution level in the atmosphere and make fresh air available, he added.  
He attributed various types of illnesses plaguing the people to inhaling polluted air.  Participating in Harita Haaram programme held



at Bachupalli in Medchal mandal and also in other mandals of Keesara and Ghatkesar along with Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Monday, he called upon the people to plant saplings in school and college premises and vacant sites as per the wishes of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.  

He appealed to the students to take part in Haritha Haram in a big way.
