Plastic flags banned

The use of small size national flag made of paper, plastic or other substances is against the provisions of the Flag Code of India, 2002, principal secretary, protocol, General Administration Department of Telangana said on Friday. He said there is a ban on manufacturing, printing, supply, sales and use of the small size national flag



and if done, would amount to insult to the national honour under Section 2 of the National Honour Act, 1971.

The government has issued instructions to all officials to ensure the rules are complied with and also to create awareness in connection with the Republic Day celebrations.
