Mahabubnagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced National Turmeric Board and Sammakka Sarakka Tribal University for Telangana. Speaking after inaugurating and dedicating several developmental projects at Mahabubnagar Sunday afternoon, he said the board will extend help to all turmeric farmers on all aspects of Turmeric crop. He also announced 900 crore rupees to the Tribal University.
Stating that the infrastructure development will augment economic activity in the region, he said these infrastructure and developmental projects will increase employment opportunities and improve the lives of people. Referring to the Food processing mega park, he said it especially helps people of especially of Hanumkonda, Warangal, Khammam, and Mahabubnagar districts. He laid the foundation stone & dedicated to the nation several other developmental projects worth over 13 thousand 500 crore rupees.
He
also dedicated New Railway line between Jakler-Krishna' built on Munirabad-Mahabubnagar section and Hassan-Charlapally LPG pipeline project of HPCL at a cost of 2 thousand 661 crore rupees. He also inaugurated demu train service between Kachiguda-Raichur-Kachiguda and inaugurated a four-lane highway from Suryapet-Khammam.
He also laid foundation stone for construction of 'Multi Product Pipeline' between Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad. He laid the foundation stones to several other road projects worth over 6 thousand 400 crores rupees. He also virtually inaugurated 4 buildings of Central University in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion Union Minister Kishan Reddy said the centre has spent 9 lakh crore rupees on development projects in Telangana. Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan was among those who were present on the occasion.
