For his visit to Mahbubnagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be bringing a bag of goodies worth Rs13,500 crore on October 1. This includes projects that he will dedicate to the nation and those for which he will lay the foundation stone.
TS BJP chief and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy said that the projects are in the sectors of road, rail, petroleum and natural gas, and higher education. During the programme, the Prime Minister will virtually participate in several programmes to be held at the University of Hyderabad.
Kishan Reddy said that the Prime Minister would reach Mahbubnagar at about 2.15 p.m. He would lay the foundation stone of key road projects that are part of the Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
The projects include a 108-km four-lane access-controlled greenfield highway from Warangal to Khammam section of NH-163G, and a similar 90-km stretch from Khammam to Vijayawada costing about Rs 6,400 crore. The projects will reduce travel distance between Warangal and Khammam by about 14 km and Khammam and Vijayawada by 27 km.
He will dedicate to the nation the 59-km four-laning of the Suryapet-Khammam section of NH-365BB, costing Rs2,460 crore, and part of the Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Corridor that is coming up under the Bharatmala
Pariyojana. It will also provide better connectivity to Khammam district and coastal AP, Kishan Reddy said.
Modi will dedicate the 37 0km Jaklair-Krishna railway line costing Rs500 crore, bringing Narayanpet district on the railway map for the first time. He will flag off the inaugural run of the Kacheguda- Raichur train service from Krishna station via video conferencing. The train will pass through Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, and Narayanpet districts.
In line with his vision of improving logistics efficiency, the Prime Minister will dedicate the nation to the Rs2,170-crore Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG pipeline. He will lay the foundation stone of the multi-product petroleum pipeline of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) from Krishnapatnam to Malkapur in Hyderabad.
"The pipeline will provide a safe, faster, efficient and environmentally friendly mode of petroleum products in the region," Kishan Reddy said of the 425-km pipeline costing Rs1,940 crore.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate five new buildings of the University of Hyderabad to house the School of Economics, School of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Management Studies the Lecture Hall Complex-III; and Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication.
