Ahead of the holy month of Ramzan, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar inspected the security arrangements at the historic Mecca Masjid and the surroundings in the old city here on Friday afternoon.
Anjani Kumar, along with other senior police officials, first inspected Mecca Masjid and enquired with authorities about the security arrangements, including the surveillance cameras being installed for the holy month which is expected to start on May 7.
The officials later inspected other places, including the
heritage monument Charminar, and interacted with the security forces deployed in the old city for bandobast. In view of the summer, the commissioner offered lassi to the forces deployed under the scorching sun.
Other senior officials who accompanied the City Commissioner include DS Chauhan, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Tarun Joshi, Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Branch), Ambar Kishor Jha, DCP, South Zone and other Traffic Police officials.
