Postal department releases special cover on PV Sindhu

Department of Posts, Telangana Circle, released a special postal cover on badminton player and Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist PV Sindhu on the occasion of National Sports Day on Sunday.

The National Sports Day is celebrated every year on August 29, the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

To motivate the young generation and to commemorate the success of Indian sportspersons at the Tokyo Olympics, S. Rajendra Kumar, Chief Postmaster



General, Telangana Postal Circle released the special postal cover on Sindhu.

Expressing happiness, Sindhu said it was an honour and proud moment for her. She thanked the Postal Department for releasing a special cover on her especially on National Sports Day.

The special covers will be available for sale at Khairatabad Head Post Office and also online at https://www.epostoffice.gov.in/buy_Gueststamps.aspx.
