Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) has disconnected the power supply to the Balanagar Sub-Registrar’s Office (SRO) for failing to pay electricity bill dues of Rs 64,000. The Balanagar SRO, which is one of the busiest offices in twin cities, did not pay the electricity bills for the last four months.
The TSSPDCL officials requested the sub-registrar concerned to clear the dues at
the earliest. However, there was no response. A team of TSSPDCL officials then went to the SRO on Saturday and disconnected the power supply.
Though the SRO staff urged to restore power supply saying that the dues would be cleared at the earliest, the TSSPDCL did not heed to the request. Senior officials said the power supply would be restored only after clearing the dues.
