The state government has renamed the praja darbar that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy began at Praja Bhavan in Begumpet on Friday as Praja Vani, and will hold it twice in a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm.
On the first day, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy personally accepted petitions from the people, while officials continued to receive the applications subsequently. On Monday, the CM directed officials to allow people who reached Praja Bhavan before 10 am to submit their applications.
Revanth Reddy asked the officials to make separate queues for differently abled persons and women and also provide drinking water and other facilities for the convenience of
people.
Meanwhile, the government said that the government had received a total of 4,100 petitions since the praja darbar began on Friday.
On the first day, 2,100 were petitions were received followed by 700 on Saturday, 200 on Sunday and 1,100 applications on Monday. Most of the petitions were about healthcare facilities and pensions.
On the first day, the complaints related to illegal constructions were forwarded to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation commissioner D.S. Ronald Rose.
The office of the Chief Minister is currently using the services of a few GHMC staff and the online grievance module of GHMC's IT wing to receive the praja darbar petitions.
