After completing the four-day southern sojourn in the city, President Ram Nath Kovind, left for New Delhi on Monday evening.
Governor ESL Narasimhan along with his wife Vimala Narasimhan gave farewell to the President and first lady Savitha Kovind at Hakimpet airport. Telangana Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, Chief Secretary SK Joshi and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The President had arrived in the city on Friday and was received by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and senior officials.
During his
stay here, he participated in different programmes, including the one at Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences in Karimnagar and hosted a dinner for VIPs before returning to New Delhi.
Earlier in the day, the President inaugurated a cascade, palmatum and rock garden at Rashtrapati Nilayam and discussed with the Forest Department officials about greening the Rashtrapati Nilayam.
About 175 new species of plants were added to enrich the biodiversity at Rashtrapati Nilayam, said a press release.
