President Ram Nath Kovind would arrive here on August 4 to take part in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) seventh convocation at Kandi in Sangareddy district.

Chief Secretary SK Joshi on Monday held a review meeting on arrangements to be made for the President’s visit. The Chief Secretary said that the President will arriving here on August 4 and will stay at Raj Bhavan. On August 5, he will plant saplings at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum and proceed to IIT, Kandi to take part in the convocation programme.

Joshi directed all department officials to make special arrangements for his visit and wanted traffic to be diverted during the



President’s movement besides repairing roads if needed. He also asked Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department to arrange a public address system and live coverage of the President’s programme. He appointed Hyderabad Collector Yogita Rana and Sangareddy Collector V Venkateshwarlu as nodal officers for the President’s programme.
Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy, Principal Secretaries Adhar Sinha, Hari Preet Singh, Sunil Sharma, Rajiv Trivedi, Protocol Director Arvinder Singh, Rachakonda and Hyderabad Police Commissioners Mahesh Bhagwat and Anjani Kumar and other department officials participated in the meeting.
