President Droupadi Murmu has said institutions active in the field of education and health should move forward with the spirit of cooperation in overall nation-building. Addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of MNR Educational Trust in Hyderabad last evening, the President said good education opens the doors of progress and good health keeps a person active in life. She emphasised the need for institutions to pay special attention for education and medical facilities for the people in rural areas.
President Murmu said making education and health services accessible to all is essential for the overall development of the country.
Stating that the country
holds an important place in the world's knowledge economy, the President said the industry in Telangana, especially in Hyderabad, and the talented IT professionals of the state, have made a huge contribution to the reputation of the country world over.
She also asked educational institutions like MNR Trust should make continuous efforts for the educational development and health welfare of people from deprived sections and women. Telangana state Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister D Anasuya Sitakka and founder and chairman of the institutions, MN Raju and Vice Chairman Ravi Varma also present on the occasion.
