President Murmu to inaugurate new facilities at Rashtrapati Nilayam today

President Droupadi Murmu will be inaugurating several new facilities at Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolarum near Hyderabad today. President Murmu reached the Nilayam last evening on her winter sojourn. The new facilities include a Visitors’ new facilitation building and a souvenir shop at the Nilayam. The President will also be laying the foundation stone for various development initiatives that are being taken up at the Nilayam.

President Murmu will be presenting the President’s Colours to the College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad on Friday. Established in 1970, the CDM was founded with a singular purpose to address the emerging need for skilling



senior military leaders not only in combat operations but also to make them adept in the managerial and strategic planning aspects of modern warfare. Over the decades, the college has grown into an institution that serves as a bedrock for the development of military leadership and management expertise in the Indian Armed Forces. 

The Colour presentation will mark a historic chapter in the evolution of CDM and cement its position as the foremost institution for management education in defence. The President’s office will function from the Rashtrapati Nilayam during the Sojourn till the 21st of this month.
