Hyderabad: President Ram Nath Kovind concluded his four-day southern sojourn here on Wednesday and left Hyderabad to participate in official functions organised at Vijayawada by Andhra Pradesh government. He flew back to New Delhi from Vijayawada in the afternoon.
Unlike his predecessors who spent more than 10 days at Rashtrapathi Nilayam here with a hectic tour schedule of southern States, Kovind visit is
being considered as one of the shortest southern sojourn undertaken by any President in the recent past. He enjoyed hospitality of Telangana State government.
Kovind and his wife Savita were given a warm send-off by Governor ESL Narasimhan, his wife Vimala, and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who presented a memento and a photo album comprising photographs of the President’s visit to Hyderabad.
